I've been going to Palm Harbor Medical Associates for a couple of years now and they are the best. Dr. Cordero is very nice and understanding. I've had tremendous tragedy this year and she's always listened and giving me advice on healing. She's a very thorough doctor and I feel very cared for. Great office staff as well.

Patient BEWARE!!!
Office is inefficiently operated. No return calls. Unable to refill prescriptions, failure to provide necessary specialist referrals, and rude. Mandatory medical appointments must be scheduled; regardless of recent appointment in order to request prescription refill; however, Doctor states only Specialist can refill prescription. The next day, Nurse Laura calls, stating she will call the medication needed for rheumatology prescription into the pharmacy on file despite claiming I don't need to see a Rheumatologist.

Is this what the country has come to? A bunch of liars and extortionist?

I was a patient with PHMA for 6 years. Mindy Dolan, APRN was my practitioner and she was terrific! Since she has left the practice,the place has gone downhill in quality of care and service... prompting me to go elsewhere.

I have been going to this office for about 19 years. something changed and now it's far the worst doctors office I have ever been to. The staff are rude and to get an referral is impossible. All I know is the standard of care anymore from this Dr. office is extremely poor.

I have been a patient at Palm Harbor Medical Association for 7 years. During this time I have seen a number of different doctors as well as a number of PA’s. I never had a real problem prior to today.

I was scheduled for a yearly wellness visit. I arrived 20 minutes prior to my appointment. I was told that Dr. Schlau was not available for my appointment. Dr. Schlau has been on an extended leave for the past three months and there is no schedule for his return. In previous month’s visit I was told by Dr Schlau himself he does not handle the wellness appointments, they’re handled by the PA. I somehow scheduled with Dr Schlau. In a past visit I was called that Dr Schlau was not available and I would be seeing a PA. I had no issue with this. Today I was told to wait around for an hour and 20 minutes to see someone else. I choose not to wait. Since Dr Schlau’s extended absence with no schedule of a return I have no confidence in this office. I will start the process of finding another Doctor as soon as possible.

Virginia Johnson, P.A. is amazing to have caring for my daughter!
Ginny is patient, very knowledgeable and her bedside manner is remarkable. Also, Ginny always returns our calls.
Allie and Gail in the front office have been extremely kind, helpful and do return our telephone calls.
At times, doctors offices go through changes and I try to hang in there with them.
Overall, Palm Harbor Medical Associates health care has been a positive experience. I appreciate the staff, P.A.'s and doctors.

I love Mindy Dolan, ARNP. She is fantastic. I am much less impressed with the front office staff. I had a virtual follow up appointment several months ago because they reached out to me on the wrong phone number after I clarified the correct number to call me at and tried to reach the office myself. Then I had to wait to reschedule after my doctor was to come back on maternity leave. I made sure to schedule in person this time. When I showed up I was told I didn't have an appointment on the schedule. My doctor is not coming back so I scheduled with a new ARNP in December. This morning I called to get sooner as I just went to the ER for chest pains this week and it is urgent I follow up as soon as possible. The girl offered me an appointment next week and then said actually she wasn't sure if it wouldn't get canceled and offered me nothing sooner. Front office staff acts like they don't even care or like their job. Not to mention every time I have gone it has been up to two hours after my appointment time when I'm finally seen. I've had two primary care physicians here now that have both left. I'm going to be finding a new medical office myself.

The worst medical office in USA. If you call to customer service you will be frustrated. The bills, you never know where the charges coming from. When ask for clarification to the front desk lady, she dont know the answer and tell you " a supervisor will call you back. Forget it never happens. NEXT MONTH. When you ask what happened with the missing supervisor call , SHE said we are sending a letter to your house with all details. One month later may 2022 waiting. What is the mission statement of this group ? Maybe the paper in the reception Pay in advance to see the doctor.
Two months ago I have to go to this hell office because my good primary doctor who is in another location was sick . We have to see another doctor. Fine. She scheduled my next visit in May 2 2022 with my doctor. When we went to the appointment, we saw a paper in the front door "office temporary closed and a phone of Andrew administrator who never answer or call back my message.
Called again Palm Harbor who controls all appointments to get the medicines as soon as possible to SCHEDULE dept and they told me that my doctor will be back on June 6 2022. We need the refill for our medicines I replied
They referred to Dr Gonzalez next day in Port Ritchey. BUT when we go home we received a Palm Harbor Associates call. Is just to tell you Dr Gonzalez will be not available tomorrow because he call sick. So today is the day with same dr who see me on april to refill my control pills, but unfortunately for me this nice doctor are not allowed sign control prescription she needs to send to a different Dr who can.
With another pill for chronic migraine a different doctor by mistake sent the wrong prescription with aspirin even when I can't take . Call again .
New prescription sent. When I pick it up SURPRISE they are capsules, when I take tablet for some reason. Call Palm Harbor Associates to change to tablets and again the person on desk said THERE ARE NOT DOCTOR AVAILABLE who can send the prescription electronically by phone you have to talk to the doctor in your next appointment.

Palm Harbor Associates and how they play with the mental health of elderly and disabled. The doctors are professionals but the system is better in the third world
