I have been a patient of Dr. Elkins for over 25 years. I have always been satisfied with the care that I have received over this period of time. The staff has always been both professional and friendly. If you are looking for a fancy office this may not be the place for you, however, if you are looking for a place where you are actually seen and not just another # then this may be the place for you.

Visited Pleasant Garden Family Practice at the end of Dec 2022 for a physical. During the physical, the doctor asked me questions regarding how it was feeling. I replied that everything was fine, I just had an issue falling and stay asleep. A few months later I received a bill for two separate doctor visits. According to the billing department at Pleasant Garden Family Practice, that how they do things. I told the individual at Pleasant Garden Family Practice I only came in for a physical, nothing more. She told me, because I mentioned not sleeping well, they charge for an additional office visit. I reiterated that I didn’t ask for that, I was answering questions asked by the physician. She told me it didn’t matter, they would treat the condition and bill me.
Basically, Pleasant Garden Family Practice is charging people for services not requested and do not inform patients until they get the bill.

I love Dr. Elkins he has been my Dr. for many years. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. He never rushed a visit. I appreciate all he has got me through. He is a rare gem these days. Doctor's like him are few and far these days.

It really saddens me to leave this review. I had an appointment for today for a checkup and to get some much needed referrals. When I went inside none of the employees behind the open privacy window were wearing masks. I asked her why or if they did ever wear masks and the woman said they are not required to if they are not touching patients. I really wanted to understand and have a good reason because I really needed to see the doctor and did not want to leave. But as a mother who has a toddler and is nursing an infant I will reduce any risk of getting sick that I can and that includes not being in places where health care employees do not wear masks.

One term: medical gaslighting. I came in to switch over to a GP from my previous doctor in another state. I’ve been on my medications for a couple years that work for me greatly, I have tried many different ones. There’s no reason to change them if they work well. Also, if I say I am fine without birth control, don’t criticize me for that. I am married and if it happens it happens, I don’t need a lecture. I will not be returning to this practice. I never got to meet the GP of the office so this isn’t towards them, I dealt with an intern my first appointment and then the NP for my second. Hopefully other people have had better experiences, i will be taking my health concerns to a premium care provider.

I have usually had little problems but recently I've had problems with not the NP nor dr but the front desk clerk has an issue with doing sufficient work . She has an attitude over the phone when asked to do anything other than making an appointment I believe she creates personal problems with patients and they have no clue what they have done .... well that was my experience with her anyway I hope they fix this issue

I am beyond impressed with the bedside manner, the nurses & staff are amazing. I am a new patient and the nurse practitioner has been very thorough with my needs (a few weeks ago) Today I brought my sister who is having a life changing medical issues, she’s been to emergency rooms being treated inhumanly, & they basically did not care. Here today she is crying tears of joy with the amount of caring from the staff. I definitely recommend this office for anyone who needs to be cared for during medical issues!!!!!! Do not judge a book by its cover, the building looks like a whole in the wall but inside are the best nurses!!!!!! I would give a 10 star if possible!!!!
