I needed immediate relief from shoulder pain and could get in quickly at S & H. I didn’t know what to expect, but by the end of the visit, my mobility was dramatically better. I originally called asking for acupuncture, which was not available, but the acupressure massage on my shoulder somehow had effects all the way to the tips of my toes. It’s a pretty incredible experience and I highly recommend it! I don’t live in the area, but I will be back at the first opportunity. The practitioners were very gentle and proficient, and they worked hard to communicate clearly even with somewhat limited English. Texting was easier than talking just to make sure we were understanding each other when making the appointment. The room is spacious and everything was clean and tidy. It’s a pleasant atmosphere in a convenient location, and it seems like a bit of a hidden gem because it wasn’t as busy as I would’ve expected.

Let's start with this. Nancy is absolutely amazing. She is warm and welcoming and nice. The facilities are clean too. Nancy is intuitive and was able to figure out what needed to be done to help my girlfriend's shoulders and neck feel better. Seeing her come out of her appointment feeling soooo much better than when she entered was just awesome. Thank you again for all you do and know you've earned at least two customers today.

Today was my first time at S&H Acupressure and I am so GRATEFUL!!! Nancy did a fantastic job working all of the tension and stiffness out of my neck and back. I went in for my appointment unable to stand up straight from the tension and pain I had been in since apparently sneezing too hard in your thirties is dangerous! lol My bf called and made me an appointment and Nancy greeted us so warmly and was so kind. She used several techniques and modalities and even stretches that ultimately resulted in my headache completely vanishing, I was able to turn my head and stand up straight! Thank you so much Nancy! 10/10STARS. I will definitely be back soon!

I have had issues for years and gone to multiple chiropractors & massage therapists. Not only do I not have to tell them "where it hurts" because they find it right away, they work on it and spend time to fix it. This is not a relaxing fall asleep massage, but that's good. it actually helps and when you go regularly for chronic conditions like mine they keep the pain at bay. I have also notice with other places that after a few sessions they get lazy and just go through he motions, but not here, he works at it ever time and I always feel better.

My wife and I come here almost every week. We always call and set up an appointment and the team always accommodate when we want to come in. We get the 30 minute body massage and the 30 minute foot massage. The body massage done by the nice gentleman is thorough and deep. He seems to always know where our hot spots are and seems to rub them out well. The experience is very relaxing and he has really positive energy. The foot rub is extremely nurturing and relaxing. I swear this is perfect for the mental health as well as your physical health. I have found my moods and mental state to be more balanced after going here. The price is extremely affordable for the life changing experience.

I love this place! The couple is so nice and the guy always gives me a very deep massage and fixes all my aches and pains! I also went there when I was pregnant and again postpartum. They know when and where to be gentle and when to really "dig in".

I do a physical labor job, and have been in need of a good deep tissue massage for a while now, so I got the 60 minute oil massage. I got the male therapist, identified to me only as "the man".

PROS: This was no "fluff and buff" massage. He found the knots and trigger points in my upper back and neck and really went after them. I noticed that all the positive written reviews so far have been 20-30 minute massages (which makes sense, as they used to be in the mall). I can imagine shorter sessions like that being mostly positive.

CONS: Both as a client and a former massage therapist, I found a number of things disturbing:

> First of all, it is very important to do a basic interview of the client before the massage, especially if you are doing a lengthy deep tissue massage. The therapist needs to know things like what you came in for, what you are hoping to get out of it, what your problem areas are, if you are in pain, what you do for work, and even more important if you have any health issues like cancer or are taking any medications like blood thinners, etc. I was not asked any of these things. The only thing I was asked was how long I wanted it and whether I wanted the woman or the man.

> I didn't feel like I could ask anything or give feedback during the session. Neither of them spoke English very well, and in fact my therapist never said a single word until the session was nearly done, so I assumed that he didn't speak English at all.

> He did not give a balanced body massage at all. He spent about 85+% of the time on my neck and upper back -- which surely needed a lot of work, probably even the most work, but all he did with the rest of my body was a few strokes on my legs, mostly my calves, a few strokes on my arms and palms, and a couple minutes on my scalp and ears (no idea what the ears were about). Probably total of about 8 minutes on those areas. He would leave my neck or rhomboids alone for a minute, and I was like "phew, I survived that, let's move on", but then he'd go right back to the exact same area. The reason I wanted an hour full body massage is so that you would massage my whole body for an hour! Because it needed it! Again, if he just did what he did for half an hour, it probably would have been alright; but the way you do an hour massage isn't the same way you do a half hour, the full hour is supposed to free you to expand out and work on balancing the majority of skeletal muscles.

> The whole massage ranged from "painful" to "extremely painful" -- especially as time went on. I expected some pain, and I've had my share of therapeutic massages that have been very painful at certain times; but never where the entire thing was painful, and never where the pain lasted past the time that the massage was finished. It's been over 48 hours now, and my neck, shoulders and upper back are still in a lot of pain (and no, they weren't hurting before). (Antiinflammatories haven't helped).

> He hit a lot of places that he should know, as a massage therapist, you're not supposed to hit. Examples: he repeatedly came very uncomfortably close to areas of the side of the neck (referred to as the subclavian and occipital triangles), which is not only uncomfortable but dangerous especially for deep tissue massage; the back of the knee (popliteal area); the temples; and directly on various bones, especially in the lower back.

> There's quite a bit more I could say, but I'll just mention one more thing: it was cold! The beach towel they had for a covering wasn't enough. I had to go straight home and defrost with a hot drink and a coat.

I hope the owners can take these things as constructive criticism and get the training they need to improve, because I think they have a lot of potential for good.
