Made a comment on nextdoor about the ferry and Cheryl Cooper, a current trustee of the SVBET, told me that ' you don't live here so you can't get a pass'. This information was incorrect and really rude, especially since I was not even asking a question. Considering Ms. Cooper has a previous ethics violation while working as an attorney, I don't think she should be a representative of this or any organization. She's on some power trip...

Crooks. Last year they implemented a new system. It was so confusing and jacked half the year there wasn’t even a lock and anyone could come and go. The water shed broke and they did nothing to fix it. Northerners came in, took over, take your money. They want to drive out the locals and make it difficult to use the ramp. They are turning it into a yacht club for the seasonal cotton heads. Don’t waste your money here

They have a new system for the boat ramp, you have to download a app then fill out a form and then pay I guess it $120 a year . It is very
confusing and expensive 50% increase from last year. The women I dealt with on the phone was very sarcastic and nasty so I told her I was not interested in being involved with the association. I will use the county ramp at Manasota Beach it is free and a lot better facility. The women I dealt with is obviously not a real go getter or she would probably have a life not 12 hrs a week there.

Hopefully everyone knows by now that the South Venice Civic Association and the South Venice Beach Endowment Trust are two different organizations. The SVCA has nothing to do with the ferry beach.

Rude! I feel sorry for the individual I delt with. Passed the responsibilities to someone else and hung up the phone. We will pray for what ever she is dealing with and hope she is not as rude to the next person she encounters!
