This place is so much fun! It tells the story of Samuel Slater, the American Industrial Revolution, and the town of Webster in an immersive and interactive experience. There is something for everyone and my kids loved it. We have been to a lot of sites and museums about the Industrial Revolution and nothing came close to being as fun and informative as the Samuel Slater Experience.

The man that started the industrial revolution in America, Samuel Slater, chose this spot to live and continue his businesses. This is truly an EXPERIENCE!
A fantastic way to tell the story. Well worth the drive and only a few minutes off Interstate 395.

As a Historian and History teacher, I LOVE this museum. It is stunning! My daughter visited in a school field trip and told me I NEED to see it for myself.

This place is a true experience! The attention to detail is immediately evident as they have fully recreated sets of Colonial Webster, MA and everything in between all the way up to the 1920s!

Nearly everything is interactive with sights, sounds, smells, and movement. You can hear the floors creak, get sea spray from the ship (Yes there is a cool ship area!) feel the rumble of the mill, and the vibrations of the electric trolly, hear the ringing of the giant copper bell, smell coffee and tea, and work numerous interactive displays. There are so naby things you will experience there that will delight you. The Experience uses the latest high tech displays and technologies to create an immersive environment that brings you back through time.

You will learn a lot about Samuel Slater, the world he helped to create, how Webster MA has changed over the years, and you'll have a lot of fun. I promise you will not be disappointed.

The staff are all incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and good spirited. They truly care about making sure everyone has a great time. Their passion and dedication is wonderful.

My family had a lot of fun and I think yours will too! What are you waiting for?! Go! Thank you.

Such a cool museum. Went with my dad, we loved it. They had holograms projected onto the walls, along with sound affects. Very cool pieces of old town history. Things you'd never even think of, which is what made it so Interesting. The story of Samuel Slater and what he accomplished was well told but also the history of the town of Webster.

While visiting locally, I had some time to kill and was deciding between the Experience and a local art museum. Not knowing what exactly the Samuel Slater Experience had to offer, but hopeful from the positive reviews, my dad and I visited, and we were absolutely amazed.
The exhibits were brilliantly designed and presented, and easily rival ones I’ve seen at major museums. With a wide variety of interactive portions, recreated town businesses, and great explainers, this is a great visit for adults and kids alike.
We were very lucky to get a tour from one of the docents, who did an excellent job, and we learned a lot about the area. I spent the next day raving to anyone who would listen to me that they should visit.
Also, Slater is 100% a traitor. It’s called corporate espionage.
