I've had many stays at hospitals from NM, TX, NC, and now Florida. And this was the best most caring hospital. I went in with a very bad case of the flu and high blood pressure and sugar. I don't remember the first day very much. But by the second day, I finally was alert. And the care they gave me was like family would. I was there for 3 days. And all days they listened to me. The room was like a hotel room. I am so thankful for their experience and kindness. I highly recommend this hospital.

I was seen in the ER at SMS for new onset H fibrillation. I was seen in a timely fashion. My nurse in the ER was James. He spent a great deal of time with me, paying attention to my blood pressure which tanked with the medication. He also spent a great deal of time making me laugh, and just trying to ease my anxiety about the options that I had For this arrhythmia. All of the nursing care that I had on the floor was great. On Saturday my Nurse was Casey and she had a student with her. She was always checking in on me. She knew I was frustrated sitting there over the weekend not having answers. Patti was my nurse on Sunday and she was excellent. I haven’t had an RN spend that much time with me in a long time in spite of her busy and heavy patient load. She spent a great deal of time teaching and trying to answer all of my questions. As a career ER and cardiac nurse, I know that frustrations between trying to balance, patient care, and computer work

I had my bone density test at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Venice.
The moment I walked through the main entrance door, I was greeted, filled out a patient paper and was then quickly called to check-in in a private setting. Very sweet and personable women checked me in within 5 min then gave me directions to Radiology. I checked in there, had a 5 min wait and was called in. The technician was also sweet and personable and answered my questions. I was out in less than 10 min.
The entire experience was easy without any stress. The following day I received the result in my portal.
The hospital had a positive vibe overall and was clean and bright as well.
I feel lucky having this new facility in my town.

It was the experience of ever being in the hospital. The nurses and technicians met all your needs in a very timely manner. They would come and see if anything I needed.
All the staff were very helpful, professional, and courteous. The doctors spent time explaining results of all the tests that were done. We are so fortunate to have such a beautiful and a state of art hospital in our area.

This was my first surgery experience and it was as an outpatient. Everyone, and I mean everyone was extremely kind and caring. They were efficient but not rushed and made me feel I had undivided attention. Very professional and knowledgeable. The hospital itself is beautiful. And the surgery was a success!

The hospital is not only brand new and beautiful, and the rooms are private roomie and comfortable. All of the staff were pleasant and very knowledgeable. They would take the time to answer any questions you had and if they couldn’t, they would find out the answer for you. When you rang the nurses desk, you got an immediate response. Someone answered, and shortly there after the nurse came to your room to help. I can’t say enough about the nurses. They were not only great. They were happy accommodating never rushed you and would never get upset if they had to come to your room many times during the day. I had two nurses caring for me, Sharon and Alli both of them exceptional knowledgeable, and unbelievably helpful. The Tax were also very good and helpful. And last but not least the position’s Assistant Dr. G was very nice. Took his time. Explain things let me ask questions. Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Venice is the only hospital I would go to.
