I needed a new primary care doctor. I live in moyock and I thought that it would be convenient to have my pc close by. I made an appointment in January, the next available new patient appointment was on July 31, 2023. On July 12th I received a message saying that my appointment had been cancelled because the doctor went out on maternity leave. She added that I can reschedule for April!

vonda raines is by far one of the worst physicians I have ever come across. I truly hope her medical license has been revoked for her extreme negligence as well as attempted enabling of extremely rapid unhealthy weight loss. Framing it as some sort of good thing. As well as refusal to refer to another physician despite even agreeing that the patient in question had an autoimmune disorder (later finally diagnosed by somebody more competent than her) seemingly out of some very strange and and even more so unprofessional "tough love lesson" about not keeping appointments on time (despite being during the peak of COVID)

I truly hope this position is no longer at this practice for the safety of not only the patients there but the legal liability at sentara as a whole. Wouldn't surprise me if this woman has a body count

From the front desk to the nurses to the Dr.'s, everyone here is very nice & personable. Today is a bitter sweet day for me b\c the Dr. I've seen for the past 10-12 years, Dr. Kerry L. Partis, I will no longer be able to see. She is moving. I wish her, & her husband, nothing but the best! She will be missed!!!

I asked my healthcare provider to move me here so that I could access medical care closer to home. This was the biggest mistake I ever made. I could not be located in their system and had to go through the registration process as if it was my first visit, this after four appointments. The staff at the front desk is disorganized, untrained, and in some cases crass. I could go on but, I believe my point is has been made. Let me be clear, I do not typically write reviews either good or bad. Frankly, I do not believe it is fair to make a judgement after one visit to any type of establishment. However, this is medical care and my observation is made after four visits and every visit resulted in a negative outcome or experience. I have requested to be moved to a new healthcare provider and I do not recommend this one.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr Ray for several years and we are very pleased he is always thorough concerned and helpful as well as his staff we understand he will be retiring soon and we really hate to see him go and wish him the very best Thank you from the Carters

This place is a joke. No bedside manner. Rude to customers. RN drawing blood and administering shots reeked of cigarettes. Dr. Dipes is clueless and suggested alternative medicine such as herbal supplements rather than refill a prescription for a condition I have had for 10 years (that is treated and managed by that medication successfully all ten years).... No one available to give shots on the day I was seen so had to reschedule and they charged me for two visits.

Walk in with chest pains... receptionist said "do you have appt". NO, chest pains. She said I would have to make appointment. Really! Went two doors down to Currituck Medical. Immediately took me back and connect to EKG.

Tried one more time... sign at Sentara says "walk ins welcome". BS 5:00 walk in with 6pm close time. My BF waited 30 mins and rude receptionist comes out to say, can't see you tonight.

What is wrong with them. Stay local!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
