Beautiful new england property loaded with R.I. history. Our docent, Martha was an excellent tour guide. Some hard to find books in their little gift shop. Tour took about an hour and a half.

A hidden historical home. It’s not a castle at all but a site of very interesting Rhode Island history beginning with the Narragansett native Americans and Roger Williams.

Don't miss this gem in southwest RI. If you are a history buff your head will spin, if you are not, you will simply realize what life was like 400 years ago. Perhaps the oldest plantation house in the country! Tour is wonderful! It is an amazing contrast to the multimillion dollar mansions in the area..

Interesting history. I was surprised to see that 40 men who died at the great swamp fight were buried in a mass grave here.

Hi! I was not happy at ALL! There were no strawberries. It was a waste! The lady told us to wait for 45 minutes to get strawberry shortcake. It was the most busiest time and we said screw it. The advertisement had nothing to do with what actually happened. They made us pay $20 for NOTHING! And they charged us another $5 for the food which we didn’t eat but still! Overall it sucked and it wasted our time and money! Never again! Ps: We parked in the woods!

Great place. Docent was very knowledgeable. The grounds are amazing. Been there twice as part of a group and never get enough time to look around and see everything. Some guy with an annoying cowbell moooo-ves you along. I'd like to be able to actually look at the items and read the placards. There is so much to see in this 1700s home with 1600 and 1700s era items.
