They truly care about the residents and strive to give each person the best care possible by finding ways to meet individual needs. They see each resident as an individual and come up with unique plans to accommodate and overcome challenges. Nursing facilities aren’t the place you want to see yourself or a family member but knowing you have a group of hard working, dedicated professionals who have your loved one’s best interest in mind may make the transition a little easier.

The nursing staff are fantastic! They are dedicated to providing for the needs and wants of their charges, providing a safe and secure healing environment.

The culinary team provide nutritious and delicious meals of ample portions, as delicious and flavorful as homemade.

Finally, the therapists are without equal in professionalism and expertise; the knowledge, expertise and dedication rank them amongst the very best in the nation.

SOPA truly has an incredible team. I work in the hospice industry and visit SOPA on a weekly basis, and it's clear how caring and compassionate the staff is here. Plus, I volunteer a few times a month with their BINGO game, where I get to know the residents, and in talking with them, they really seem to enjoy living there and how they're cared for. If you have a family member needing a skilled nursing facility, check out SOPA.

If I could give negative stars i would. If you want your family member to get an infection and almost die or lose a limb then this is the place to go! I called and called trying to reach my family member and was told "she's doing great" no. She was in the hospital with an infection, almost dead. DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONES GO TO THIS PLACE IT IS DIRTY AND THEY ARE NEGLECTFUL

I absolutely despise this facility, but we were forced use it for when my grandmother was dying. I watched some amazing staff members come in and take care of her, but there were too many abhorrent staff members to counteract them. I am guilt ridden knowing that my grandmother was given terrible care in her final days. What an absolute atrocity it was to witness my grandmother get less than stellar care. This woman was too weak to use a normal call button, and a kind nurse brought in the bubble button; the next time I visited that had been taken away. Probably because she was "pressing it too much" for them to handle. I won't get into too much detail as this still hits pretty close to home with me, but I am appalled knowing my grandmother died in this wretched facility.

The mistreatment I witnessed of my family member and other residents in the short time I visited SOPA was absolutely astonishing. My family member is paralyzed from the mid chest down, and despite knowing this, the staff dangled them over the side of a (broken!) bed with no upper body support. I have pictures of this incident as well. I also have pictures of the bed sores my family member developed due to the neglectful staff ignoring their requests to be taken out of bed, and being left in the same position and the same BRIEF for DAYS. When my family member told the staff that they were in pain and scared while being halfway off the bed, I saw the nurse that was changing his brief roll her eyes and scoff. I brought my concerns to the physical therapist, who smiled at me while saying my family member must be exaggerating. I told him everything I had seen and taken pictures of, yet he was incredibly dismissive of my concerns and told me to speak to the social worker instead. Okay, fine. I spoke to the social worker, who listened to me and took notes. It felt like I was getting somewhere, until she turned us over to the administration, who was even more dismissive of us, and proceeded to blame my family member for the mistreatment they were facing. "There are other residents here, we can't always be in your room." Yes, other residents are important too, but there is absolutely no excuse for the things that had happened. She did not care about anything we were saying, and suddenly it made sense why the staff there acts the way they do.

After leaving for good, I have since met MANY previous residents of SOPA that also have horror stories of their time there. I would NEVER recommend anyone to stay at SOPA unless they're looking for a place to rot.

In the 6 months that I've been here. I've been very happy with my service. Everyone is very kind. They Take very good care of me.
I came from another facility that I didn't care for and I would recommend this place to anyone.
