I really enjoyed learning more about this wonderful town. There is so much history packed in a small space. The curators are super friendly and knowledgeable. Go check it out, it is definitely a no cost activity. They do accept donations to those feeling generous.

This is a wonderful museum right here in our backyard. The amount of history of Stillwater and Payne County is put on display very well. They also sell several historically pertinent books by oklahoma authors including books on the history of Stillwater and the surrounding area. This is a really nice museum that people should take advantage of.

Friendly people. They gave an area with old style games for kids like pick up sticks, dominos, and button sorting. Plus, an interactive screen there that tells you about different items in their toy display. I took my toddler who enjoyed the game area, even if we didn’t play the games as intended. 😉

Our friend’s daughter gave a cello recital recently at the museum. The little auditorium is gorgeous and the acoustics were really good. We had a very pleasant time, and I would love to go back for future events.

Smaller museum but had lots of maps and provided a range of displays on Stillwater. Very pleasant docent. Plenty of parking and an easy walk to the OSU Art museum.

I went to the museum as a chaperone for a class of 3rd graders at Sangre Elementary. The kind, patient and knowledgeable staff gave the students a really fun, educational visit. I learned several things I'd forgotten over the years about Oklahoma and Stillwater!
