Great history about how 55+ communities "Del Webb" developers were born back in the early 1960s. Grant McCargar was our tour guide. Very knowledgeable, answered our questions, and was on point about everything. A lot to see inside of how the community was established grew through the years. Cost for tour was $5 for anyone over age 18.

We loved this museum!!! Not only is it adorable, but there’s so much history and knowledge. We learned so much about Del Webb. I’m so happy someone preserved all of this information! A definite must see! Our tour guide knew so many details and answered all of our questions. Great museum and the price is very cheap!!

This museum is a unique window into the not so distant past and a view into one of the country's first successful retirement communities.
The museum strikes a contrast between most of today's retirement communities and the simple structures of the early 1960s. I found a promotional film of the original Sun City particularly entertaining. The contrast between yesteryear's lifestyle and today's illustrated how many things have changed since the 1960s.

What a wonderful collection of the history of the Sun Cities, and the Del Webb story that lead to their creation. From a spark of an idea that he was skeptical about even working, to an incredible community for active adults to be part of today - this place is simply fascinating - and made all the better by the accompanying stories told by volunteer docents - painting a picture in your mind of all that it took to make the beautiful communities that so many enjoy LIVING in today! The result of gambling entrepreneurs, volunteerism, ebbs and flows of the economy, and the active participants in this grand experiment that continues today! Take the time to visit here, invest yourself in learning, and you'll appreciate all that the Sun Cities have become, and continue the dream!
