Bad service. Waited two days for them to call me. I had to call them because they didn’t call me back like the doctor told me and they made jokes, laughing about my injuries while I was there for help. The Nurse Practitioner and the girl who took my blood pressure was making jokes about my situation. Instead of acting like they cared, they made jokes. This is not professional at all.

I was seen at our local Walmart Clinic on May 31, 2024, in Lumberton, North Carolina, by FNP Amber R Owens. I went for a sore throat, cough, and stuffy nose. I requested to be tested for flu, strep, covid which were all negative; I knew what I had, which was a sinus infection/bronchitis. The FNP, Amber Owens, came into the room, did a quick assessment, and told me I didn't need any meds and to call back if I got worse. I know my body, how I get, and how badly I go downhill with bronchitis. I requested an antibiotic, and the physician was adamant that I didn't need and she was not going to give me anything. She acted as if I was asking for pain pills and treated me like that. This provider talked over my mother, and I would not listen to anything I or my mother had to say because I know how I get, and so does my Mother. This provider was rude. I am an EMS provider and understand how patient care goes, and my needs were not met. I know that after I become ill with bronchitis, I need an antibiotic to help me clear up the infection. This provider did not even give me a decongestant or nose spray. I was offered nothing but to call back if I got worse. The provider was quick to say to call back if you get worse. The provider's notes on "my chart" state some insulting things that shouldn't have been told. I hate it for myself and the next person this provider treats because it could end up fatal for someone who goes in for treatment and gets sent home with nothing and ends up dying. I would like this to be investigated. I am distraught, and this provider needs to be reprimanded before she kills someone.
The North Carolina Board of Nursing was notified.

Tested positive for COVID-19 with a home test. After battling several days, called here and made an appointment. The lady on the phone was super patient and friendly, and the nurse and nurse practitioner gave me some tests, which I tested positive officially. Nurse practitioner was very caring and prescribed medicines to help me. She seemed to truly care about my well being, as well as the rest of the staff. Highly recommend this clinic!!

I have had the opportunity to visit the clinic at Walmart numerous times over the last 5 years. I am always impressed with the service. They always process me quickly and in to see a Dr or Nurse usually within 10 minutes. Always very professional very helpful and very informative with great communications and explanations. There are closer clinic choices, but I will drive 15 more miles to be under their care. That you so much all the women at the Clinic!!

They told me they would see my son, got my phone number and said they would call when ready.
We sat in the car for a couple of hours, then walked back inside and sat in their chairs. Then after a minute sitting there we were told "oh yeah, we've reached our cut off of 18. You'll have to come back after 2 and we can maybe see you then."
Why in the hell did they bother to get my phone number and make me waste my time here, only to tell they had reached their cutoff number when I first got there?
Unprofessional, then again I don't know what I should've expected from a Walmart clinic.

Great place for short and quick care if your paying out of pocket. The ladies and nurses are so sweet and polite. I think they're all working LPN'S but they know what they are doing. I brought my two kids and where in and out in a jiffy. Plus the price of 65 per person was super reasonable compare to other places starting at $150 just for one. Very a satisfied with service.

I didn't take pictures but the Dr on Duty in Lumberton NC Tuesday, she was awesome, compassionate, and understood my pain. A great outcome. 12 hrs later I feel so much better
