Absolutely loved coming here. Billy is the most enthusiastic story teller and blew my mind multiple times. He helped me imagine what life was like 200 million years ago and how lucky we are to be here today. I came here for a class and now I recommend it to everyone to come check it out!

This is a very well done one small room museum. If my kids had not been free I think it would have cost too much for such a small museum. But aside from that it is packed with great things to see and a super fun sand pit. My kids were a bit short for the sand pit so we did have to hold them. It would have been nice if they had a step stool available. It is attached to like an elementary school so pay attention when you walk up that you go in the correct door. It will be to your far right by the play ground follow the foot steps. The lady at the front desk was super kind and very knowledgeable! They do have the sweetest turtle that followed us around which our little boy loved!

I'd like to start by saying for those who dont know like me and my wife. This museum was in a classroom in the back of a school. That being said its amazing what they did with the space available, and the amount of information was great. It's definitely worth a visit.

I want to respond to some of the other comments about this place first, after having visited yesterday. Yes, this museum is small. And yes, children will probably find more enjoyment out of it than adults. (The fact that it is attached to a school should clue folks into that, but alas.) Regardless, the only reason why an adult should make it through the museum in ten minutes is if you don't take the time to read or learn anything, talk to anyone, let your kids play, or enjoy anything at all... in which case why are you even coming to a museum?

Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed this museum as an adult and visited it with my friend, who also enjoyed it. We spent about 50 minutes there, but could have easily been there longer. It was a unique museum experience, with fossils either found locally by the creator of the museum, or which are of animals who were local to the area. Very few other places will you get to come face-to-face with the beasts who shared your home with you, curated by a person who genuinely cares and is passionate about sharing what they know with you. There was a volunteer there when we went, and she was very knowledgeable, personable, and kind. She even took the time to ask me about my favorite dinosaur, and when she didn't know about it, we had a conversation, and she looked it up in a dinosaur encyclopedia. If you give this museum a chance, it will make you feel as special as it itself is. I planned a two-day vacation around visiting this museum and I don't regret it, and feel that it was well worth the money and the trip. I am glad to be helping to support a local paleontologist in doing the important work of educating and inspiring others, as well as growing our collective understanding of what came before us and helping to protect and preserve it.

A small museum packed with beautiful displays! Very kid friendly with an excavation pit and wash station, and they're open through the winter. Obviously a work of love, most of the main displays are fossils (or replicas) found in paleo digs nearby. This museum is only going to get better as they can excavate and display more of what they've found!
