This is a beautiful and inviting welcome center. It was very clean and the staff was really friendly. Good spot to stop and take pics with the state signs.

Clean restrooms and just the sweetest most helpful gentleman at the front desk.

The gentleman that greeted us was so sweet. The restrooms were very clean. It's a great place to get out of the car and stretch your legs if you've been on a long journey. Plenty of stuff to check out, the same gentleman that greeted us even gave the kids coloring books when we were leaving.

Standing on historical grounds. The ranger shared an awesome story of the the adventures the Wright brothers had in achieving Powered manned flight. Be prepared to walk . But remember the Wright brothers did it way more times than you will .

Great stop on your way to OBX for any information about lodging, activities, restaurants and events. Friendly and helpful! Clean restrooms and a very nice doggie walking area and park with bags and disposal area.

Highly recommend this rest stop, one of the best I’ve ever been to (we’ve visited several times). Clean bathrooms, friendly staffed front desk, tons of local flyers, covered picnic tables, and free coffee, feminine products, and local branded promotional items (think luggage tag or small beach ball). You will not regret stopping here!
