Outside bland, inside odd. Great way to spend an hour or two wandering around for $10 and talking to the owners and staff. Tons of interesting stuff, unique collections, and things you've never seen before or even knew existed. Better bang for your buck than 90% of museums that have 3/4 info plaques and 1/4 good stuff, this place is 98% unfiltered just plain good stuff. Absolutely go.

The owners and staff are TOP NOTCH!!! I've worked with them many years as I work in the film industry. They deliver and are always so accommodating. Jeremy and Kim are awesome and I recommend anyone in Atlanta or visiting here to stop in and say hi. I'm so happy to see how far they've grown over the years and look forward to seeing what they do next. Absolutely fabulous people. And they always have the most most interesting and fun inventory that evolves and grows. Who knows what we'll see next but I'm excited!

This is a super fun oddities shop and museum. There are many large props, weird and unusual medical specimens, crazy supernatural and taxidermy objects, along with funerary items. I loved it. To top it off, the staff are friendly and very knowledgeable!

The Oddities Museum is an absolute gem! The collection of crazy taxidermy and the mind-blowing two-headed animals are worth the visit alone. Every corner is filled with bizarre and fascinating artifacts that will keep you staring in awe. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience even more enjoyable. Don't forget to check out the attached store, Rainy Day Revival — it's full of quirky treasures and unique finds Taxidermy to Art from local artist. I've been buying from Jeremy and his store for a little over 5 years, he's always professional and a great guy to deal with. Even the couple of items I couldn't grab in person that were shipped were packed great and professionally. I highly recommend him and his store to anyone looking for oddities or cool stuff out of the norm. The museum is very impressive also, has lots of things most folks will ever see in a lifetime packed into an amazing place!

I’d like to share a recent, deeply disappointing experience with Jeremy Gibbs, the owner of The Oddities Museum. I purchased a wet specimen marmoset from him through Facebook for nearly $300, expecting a quality product. Instead, the isopropyl alcohol solution it arrived in was murky, unpleasant, and filled with debris. I poured it out, cleaned the container, and replaced it with fresh isopropyl alcohol, but flakes and residue still cling to the marmoset’s fur.

Even before I received the item, there were issues. Jeremy initially provided a USPS tracking number, but it hadn’t been scanned for several days and only showed that a label was created. When I respectfully inquired about the status, he responded with a tone that felt condescending. I mentioned I would contact Venmo (my payment method) if there were no updates by the end of the week. He reacted defensively, almost offended that I was following up on such an expensive purchase, even though I was a new customer who had never worked with him before.

When the item finally arrived in poor condition, I was ready to let it go and not say anything, but Jeremy messaged to confirm delivery. I shared my concerns, but instead of addressing them, he became defensive and immediately demanded I return the specimen. His messages then became accusatory, defensive, and condescending. Despite asking him multiple times to stop messaging me unless it was to provide a return label, he persisted. I have yet to receive a return label, and honestly, I doubt he’ll follow through with one.

Throughout our communication, I was blunt and direct but I do not feel that I was rude. I simply asked questions any customer would, given the circumstances, and yet he seemed incapable of understanding why I might be skeptical. Rather than listening to my feedback, he flooded my messages with defensive and strange responses, even blocking and unblocking me.

When he wouldn’t stop messaging me, I finally told him that I’d share my experience in a Facebook group dedicated to seller reviews. All I wanted was for him to leave me alone—I wasn’t asking for a refund, discount, or return. He’s the one that continued to demand I send the specimen back, acting as though my disappointment was unreasonable. The way he spoke to me was highly unprofessional, and it honestly seemed like his ego was bruised.

Following this, Jeremy took screenshots of our conversation and posted them publicly, with my profile picture as the lead image, apparently to shame and humiliate me. I shared my side to give context, but his actions only encouraged others to pile on, furthering the humiliation.

I’m sharing this experience as a word of caution, especially for anyone considering doing business with him online. He believes the isopropyl alcohol in wet specimens only needs changing every few years and didn’t see any issue with the condition of the item or the way he shipped it—and yes, the container full of alcohol was sent without proper labeling of the shipping box. Despite all this, he seemed to feel completely justified in how he treated and humiliated me.

Please be careful if you choose to purchase from him or his shop.

I myself have odd interests, and ended up going on a date with another person with odd interests here. The eclectic collection of the bizarre was an absolute blast. It’s very affordable, and the staff had lots of in-depth facts about the various odds and ends. Even just visually, the whole place is stunning. They host a number of neat events as well, including featuring local artists, which I love as a community project.
I highly recommend making a trip out here now and then to see it if you’re able.
