We just happened upon this place while driving around this beautiful town. And it was a delight. It is kept pristinely. Lots of History, we were the only ones there so that was very very nice on a late Saturday afternoon. I would recommend giving yourself 2 to 3 hours to really sponge up all of the history.

We lived here for years. My late husband’s family are from Thomasville, Ga! They still live there today. My late husband loves history and this was the first place he took us to! He said… We all must cherish our past. The people, places and things that make us who we are today. Thomasville has the most interesting history. This was a place of Presidents and Dignitaries who once vacationed and lived here. Get this the streets are named after those who will and have lived on in history forever. The museum tells all the stories of the past.

This place has a wealth of information on Thomasville ! I will bring my daughter here one of these days so she can see and show her around where her family is from!

This is an absolute must for learning all about the history of Thomasville. They have some amazing exhibits. The building itself is a slice of architectural heaven. They also have a great gift shop! Highly recommend.

It's a nice place to look around. Theres several great buildings in the back.
The welcome was not that friendly but it was around lunch time and folks do get hungry.
The self guilded tour is 5.00 per adult and guided tours are 8.00
We were not offered a guided tour I guess because of the time. We usually enjoy a guided tour more.
It's is worth the time to visit.

Another one of several neat places to visit in downtown Thomasville. We did a self guided tour and learned about Thomasville's rich history and got a chance to see some really interesting artifacts. I would recommend it to anyone who is exploring downtown with Friends and Family.

Interesting place you can walk around the grounds without even going in the center and see many different buildings.
