When the snowbirds are in town, you’re not gonna get seen on time or at all!! If you’re calling to schedule an appointment, be aware that you’re gonna have to call three or four times cause you’re always gonna get disconnected or you’re gonna be on hold for at least 10 minutes. If you have a 10 o’clock appointment, you’re gonna have to wait no matter what. If the snowbirds are here, they need to send people from their VA centers down to help our VA staff. I hate coming here absolutely hate coming here when they are in town

I have been kicked out of their offices with a broken arm, MRSA staph infections, torn rotator cuff and now this morning with a viral outbreak. These people aren’t here to help you. They’re there to collect a pay check. They do NOT care at all. The most help I have gotten from this place was from the police security.

Yesterday at my annual the doctor provided me a printed "Roadmap" so I could make an audiology appointment. It even had the extension listed. This was going to make getting in touch a piece of cake. WRONG! The "Roadmap" printed in 2020 lists the incorrect extension. You get an "extension not assigned" message, then click. After another callback and a 13-minute hold time, I was advised the number was incorrect and I was given the correct one, which of course was not answered, and also disconnected after what seemed to be at least 100 rings. (Does this same condition also exist on the Suicide Hot Line?) Tried a second time with similar results. Then at 3:15 pm I tried again, and it was picked up on the third ring, was a pleasant experience.

I can understand the clinic might have a busy time during the day, however, isn't that predictable?
Why is a 4-year-old "Roadmap" being handed out with incorrect information? At least my doctor who directed me to audiology should know the number on my handout was incorrect.

I’ve been trying to schedule an appointment with my primary care physician for days, but the experience has been incredibly frustrating. I’ve called multiple times at different times of the day, yet I either get hung up on or, when someone finally answers, they seem to put the phone on mute without saying a word. In other instances, I’m transferred from department to department, never reaching the right person to help me. All I need is a simple appointment with my doctor, but this process has made it nearly impossible. It’s disappointing to see such poor communication, especially when seeking basic care.

Do not reach out to this VA center for any mental health concerns/issues. Jackie, social worker in charge of interviewing you to see if you warrant help, will do her best to reject you. They do not care about your mental health nor your mental health history. Please use any other service such as BetterHelp and so on to seek help. You matter.

Combat Veterans-100% service connected- are told that millions of veterans are treated here every year and they don’t have the time. (Why are they told this to us I’ll never know)

They continuously drop the ball on community care. You have to babysit community care they will lose your records or just not process them at all and then when you call and speak to Michele Norman who’s the chief of community care everybody points fingers at each other meanwhile, my husband in extreme pain and will go back to the hospital while they just fingers at each other. It happens every time.

Helping a combat veteran takes extra care. They made that sacrifice for us, why can’t the VA comprehend that combat veterans require additional care?
PTSD is real, it’s not something you see. Our vets see it everyday. Sucks trying to find care in the state of Florida. Feeling hopeless as we have been through 3 facilities.

I moved to wildwood fl in may 2024
The va in general need to be scrapped 96%
The mislead veterans they lie and change information to make it look like they are caring for veterans
This last week somehow lost a medication my primary care approved it
On the 13th and as of today they don't have it but yesterday they said i could stop at gbe villages and pick it up but i cant drive do to a broken foot
So they said they would over night it
But they did not even have it on hand
9am next day and they still dont have it
Why did they not have gainesville or orlando over night it like the villages said yesterday they were doi g
With the invisible medication they don't have
Then be told they dont overnite
Then pharmacy says yes they do
But how do you overnite something that you dont have
So dar this year i have had to file 6 congressional complaints over va care
So they really care when you dont get the meds you need or the care granted
Above i stated broken foot was dont on June 2nd
Went to local er given 3 days pain meds
Went to va sat for 2 hours trying to be seen
No one could see me
Checking tried every doctor to have someone between patients to look and do something
I was told surgery should have been done asap took 23 days to get surgery
Then to find out they just screwed everything where it was and did not put it in correct allignement so now y months had to be rebroken and reset into position and screwed
Yea the va cares less then a doctor taking Medicaid
I could have received better care from do tors without boarders then the va

Dr. FEBRES IS THE GREATEST!!!!! She is caring, thorough, funny and very informative. I hope she stays with the Villages forever. She has treated my husband George with caring respect. Her nurses are also wonderful. Both take time with you and answer your questions. My husband has GREAT care there. Thank you!
