Beware of this home builder! As with ALL of our neighbors, our experience with Maronda has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment we signed the contract, things began to fall apart. With many years of experience managing residential construction as a superintendent for a reputable builder, I can confidently say that Maronda is every bit NOT how things should be.

The construction process was riddled with incompetence. We encountered countless issues, and the lack of training among their superintendents is surprising. From start to finish, subcontractors perform their work with nearly no onsite builder representation for quality control. Thus, the final product is an amalgamation of "blow and go" contractors whose work is mostly not scrutinized by Maronda. Know this first: they build using their scheduling app with nearly no onsite representation. It’s a "let's cross our fingers and hope the home comes out right" mentality. The first time you are allowed in the home is at closing, and the multiplicity and severity of outstanding issues will be worse than you expect.

Many concerns will be dismissed. Attempts to address the issues are met with hostility, as if they are personally offended that I asked them to make serious issues right. There is a consensus in the neighborhood that the builder is difficult, petty, and cheap. Many times, they will not act unless you use leverage. Simply failing to reply to messages is common.

Litigation is pending by multiple owners.

Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this builder. Their practices and lack of professionalism are without equal. I could go on for hours, but it’s not just me—come and knock on the doors, and we will tell you... you pick the door at random.

Don't take my word for it, ask an AI app to tell you about Maronda: "Customer reviews indicate a mixed reputation, with many homeowners expressing dissatisfaction with their experiences. Common complaints include poor communication, ongoing maintenance issues, and ignored warranty claims."

It's also not limited to the building segment of the company. Watch out for Maronda's title company and Maronda's mortgage company too—they are every bit as bad. They will reply to this review with "we have addressed all your warranty issues," but that is untrue.

One of the issues that will manifest itself for you later will be the G50 (minimal zinc coating) Galvalume roof, which is not warranted by the manufacturer due to its proximity to the ocean. It's a steel product covered in zinc. But honestly, that is just the tip of the iceberg.

How about the wind blowing in the floor joist area? Pull off a first-floor can light and you have a breeze. The 65% humidity in all the homes that is unable to be lowered even with the AC set to LOW. 6" can lights in the model, 4" installed in homes (dark homes). They voided my ENTIRE electrical system warranty because I changed my can lights to 6", which was represented in the model. Large areas of the upstairs not level and outside of building tolerances by a mile. Head guy Larry comes by and tells me "non-issue," and that the same thing is in the model, which is a representation of what you should expect. Took 10 bags of self-leveling concrete to flatten the "non-issue."

Full home window replacements. Zero roof vents in some homes. AC ductwork leaking in attics in most homes. Wavy siding on the sides of homes. Drainage issues. Leaks and much more.

Here is a common one: the houses are such a mess many of us don't feel comfortable closing with all the outstanding issues. But don't dare tell them you would like to back up the closing date to allow time for them to finish the home; you will get a cold email response threatening to sue under breach of contract if you do not close on the date they set. Delivering incomplete homes is 100% the norm. This is the most transactional, non-customer service company I have ever seen. I have bought 5 brand new homes, and this is so unusual.

Knock on our doors before you buy. If you buy, please have eyes wide open.

Update February 2025: the community landscape project is making progress. Will continue to provide updates on these and other improvements. I hope in the coming months we see the community further developing towards the luxury standards promised.

Review late 2024; New buyers, be aware before you buy. So far, it has not delivered upon the promise of delivering a High-End Luxury, gated community. Common areas are not delivered upon plan, not completed and very cheaply done (e.g. reusing old rusted fence, weeds instead of maintained lawn, ..., ..). Several house build, design and quality issues impacting many homeowners. Maronda and Co. need to step up and deliver upon their promise.
It's unfortunately, since the location and community has a lot of potential.

We have been in our house for a little over 8 months now. At the beginning we were super excited about moving into the neighborhood. We were told all the landscaping and pool would be done within a month from when we signed our contract with Maronda. The pool wasn’t completed until 7 months later, the landscaping has still not been completed and they just come and mow the weeds when they get to be about a foot or so tall. When the landscapers do mow the weeds it throws pieces of metal and debris at neighbors fences and property causing damage. Our gated community is laughable at this point as the gates are barely hanging on the hinges and don’t work. Then comes our lovely home. Like I said earlier we have been here about 8 months and have had major mold issues. Not only at our house but almost every home in the neighborhood has mold. This has been going on for over 7 months now when one of our neighbors found the issue in their home. A few months ago we were told that they, Maronda, was working with a 3rd party to get the issue resolved and that they had come to a consensus on the fix and that it would be done by the end of the year. Well we are here at the end of the year and to my knowledge only 1 home has been “fixed”. We don’t even know if the fix they claim will work is actually going to fix the mold issues because they are using the same sub contractor that caused the issue in the first place. It has been a huge headache from conversations of them passing blame and kicking the problem down the road. Can’t wait to see what excuses and inaction come next.

So my husband and I were looking for a house near the beach and were driving down A1A. We saw a new neighborhood going up so we pulled in. We ended up going in with our pups where Jamey began showing us floor plans. The model home was gorgeous! All of our questions were answered in detail with pleasure. Austin was awesome too explaining the intimate details of the house plan. I give Jamey and Austin 5 stars!!! So nice, thorough and professional! We can’t wait until our house is ready!!

What a great experience today at The Vue Maronda Homes in Satellite Beach! The open house was perfectly organized, and Jamey and Austin went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. As a delightful touch, they even treated us to a delicious banana split! 🍌🍦 The homes are stunning—elegant, spacious, and just a stone's throw from the beach. If you're looking for a new beachside community, The Vue is definitely worth a visit. 🌴🏠

We just closed on our home at the Vue, would give four and half if possible: five stars for the end product, and five for the on-site group, but three for the overall delivery based on a four month delay to start construction and issue (fixed) with grading. We understand these things happen, but our home model was the last to be updated for 2024 code changes and watching a series of later purchases built was very frustrating while ours was on hold. On-site, Christine and Jamey were great to deal with and Austen was outstanding on getting construction concerns/mistakes addressed.

Very upset with our decision to build here. After spending so much money for this house and managing through 4 closing delays, we expected to move into our dream home. Unfortunately, we have been dealing with problems from the time we closed on the house. The mold growth is the top concern as our child is allergic to mold and we’ve already had mold spores grow due to the HVAC units being installed incorrectly. Additionally, the humidity level in our house is MUCH higher than acceptable levels according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). We’ve also had to deal with faulty bathtub installs, faulty shower tiling, electrical problems, and paint melting off our shutters. I think this community has so much potential, but those looking to move here need to know what they are getting themselves into.

*BUYER’S REMORSE* I am a resident and have had a horrible experience since signing our contract in July of 2022. Our HVACs were installed incorrectly, which caused mold growth above the units. As a result, mold spores got into the air circulation and our family was breathing mold spores for months. Our daughter is allergic to mold and had to be put on steroids until the mold issue was resolved. The humidity level in our house is above 65% on both floors. Maronda refuses to address the humidity issue and blames our vicinity to the ocean as the cause. The builders forgot to remove the chimney screens for our dryer vent going to the roof, which caused significant lint backup in the chimney pipe and posed a fire hazard. We also experienced other problems with the house. Bathtub installed incorrectly. Shower tiles falling apart. Paint melting off one of our outdoor shutters. Faulty electrical work causing breakers to pop.
The Maronda Homes slogan is “We Build Your Dream Home.” In my opinion, this could not be further from the truth. I highly recommend you speak with someone in the community before signing any contract here.
