Dentista: llame para hacer una cita de mi niña y la señora que contesto el teléfono estaba muy enojada, fue muy grosera conmigo, yo no tengo la culpa de su amargura, si no le gusta su trabajo que hace ahí.

I was called by the UConn dentist a week ago to schedule my daughter's dental surgery. She apologized multiple times for the long wait since our first visit in April. We scheduled an appointment for today and confirmed the surgery would take place at Children's Hospital in Hartford on January 11th.

My daughter has been suffering from severe dental issues, including infections, crooked teeth, cavities, bleeding gums, and constant pain. Due to her autism, she struggles to express her pain verbally.

Finding a babysitter was challenging today, so I called to reschedule or ask if I could bring my children with me for the pre op! The administrator threatened to remove me from the waitlist if I didn't come in today. I mentioned that I could have gone with our family dentist or chosen Yale or Naguttuck Valley, which could have done the surgery three weeks ago. However, I preferred UConn due to their familiarity with my daughter's medical history.

After finding a babysitter, and I called back that I was gonna be on time I was transferred to the dentist. She told me lies, claiming that the neurologist wanted the surgery to take place at Children's Hospital in Hartford due to my daughter's condition, and not in Farmington! Two lies! However, I had already spoken to the neurologist when I had my appointment scheduled for the surgery and she refused to provide advice.The dentist also claimed that she couldn't perform the surgery until Spring or Summer! Despite originally confirming that it would be at Children's Hospital in Hartford on January 11th, they already knew my daughter’s condition and medical history.

The dentist's failure to communicate with me in a timely and honest manner caused me unnecessary inconvenience and stress. A simple phone call could have avoided this situation entirely, Instead of making me waste a day of work.
I regret not opting for Yale or Naguttuck Valley, which could have performed the surgery three weeks ago. I advise others to be cautious when dealing with this dentist and to seek a second opinion, It's clear that the dentist's primary concern was maximizing profits, not providing quality care for my daughter. I'm appalled by this experience and would caution others to be wary of this dentist's motives.

Pediatric Dental Department is So unprofessional, seems like Personal Conversations are more important than assisting patients with Accurate Care. The ladies that answer the phone speak over you and aren’t very helpful and then when you ask to speak with higher authority they transfer you and surprisedly the phone hangs up. Do better because you all are getting PAID to do a job. Hopefully higher up sees this kind of treatment and retrains their staff. Leave Personal Talk to the streets not on the Clock.

This place is a joke they can care less about making things easier for their patients/parents seems like everyone just want to get paid to do bare minimum the other woman who worked prior to the newer lady was much better there is an obvious change in customer service to the point I am finding a new dentist for my kids now let’s see who they practice for n now because truth be told we have private dental insurance and do not have to put up with being treated like peasants signed working single mom with private insurance eff UConn artists

Child Psychiatry here is a waste of time. Go elsewhere! I waited 40mins past my daughter’s appointment time because the apt before me ran late, problem was they rushed my child’s apt as a result and wouldn’t answer my questions because they ran out of time and were extremely rude about it. Not fair to the kids to act this way. My daughter only 6 and said how she doesn’t like going there.

Absolutely rude disgusting secretary arguing for no reason on the phone. Ready to jump down your throat if you are referred there and arguing they don’t accept new patients in two years and every time you call you talk to somebody different that has no idea what is going on. No wonder they have no new patients in two years.
