Great group of not just doctors but even staff as well! I can’t recommend Dr. Mclendon and his team enough. He’s been kind, caring, and attentive beyond measure since I met him.

I was seen here several years ago by Adija Bailey (no longer at this location because she left) for lower right abdominal pain and was referred to GI. Once she left I followed up with Michelle Benton my new PCP (she took Adija’s place but no longer at this location but continues to work in the UNC system) because the pain was intense. I was told again to see GI. I was disappointed with my care so Heather Lawson became my new PCP (she’s no longer at this location but is in the UNC system). I was seen here several years ago and several times with complaints of severe intermittent lower right abdominal pain. They all kept referring me to a GI doctor. After having X-rays and a colonoscopy they said it was IBS. I continued to go back to my PCP whenever I experienced the pain and they suggested I go back to see my GI doctor without ordering any other testing. I left feeling ignored and I continued to suffer for years with this severe pain. August this year I almost passed out experiencing the same pain. My new PCP ordered a CT which showed a large mass on my right ovary that attached itself to my colon. This was removed in September. I am highly upset I was ignored by all of my primary care physicians and I had to suffer all these years! This could’ve been avoided!!

My husband has been going to this office but we will be changing. We thought he was seeing a doctor, turns out shes an FNP instead. Regardless the letters at the end of her name isn't the issue. Jonaleen mori FNP is not attentive to her patients needs. She has failed to have paperwork and prescriptions sent properly to specialists and pharmacy and often times it must be requested multiple times before it is sent, never at all or she will require another visit to handle even though it was supposed to be done at prior appointment.
My husband was referred to a specialist by Jonalee Mori, but was never able to make the appointment because she or her office never sent the proper paperwork, even though it was requested by the specialist office multiple times. Now Jonalee is being told to have his other doctor handle it, even though the other specialist sent all the information to his Primary Physician Jonalee Mori, like he is supposed to for referrals. The runaround my husband is getting regarding a referral is ridiculous!!! He should have seen by the Endo 5 months ago!! This kind of treatment is not appropriate for a patient and shows she doesn't care and he is just another $$ appointment!
I do not recommend this primary care person or office.

I highly recommend this office and Dr.Godwin. If you’re like me anxious and stressing over an appointment, I promise you they are a go to.
First experience with this clinic/office and also first appointment I go by myself and it was the best. I don’t tend to leave reviews but I want to leave my experience.
Today was the first time I go to a doctors appointment by myself.
The front desk was very nice and helpful. I arrived 15 minutes early got my paperwork done and after 5 minutes passed and I was brought back. The waiting time was good. The assistant was nice, she was easy to talk to. Then Dr.Godwin came in and he was nice too. I was able to communicate with him with no issues. I honestly was nervous about having a male doctor but I ended up really liking him. I had a good experience here.
I have the biggest fear of needle and even then when I got my blood work done the lady downstairs, she was nice about it. She was so gentle and understanding.
I feel like maybe today I’ve graduated. I’m happy with the service I got today. Thank you guys for what you guys do.
God bless you guys.🤍

This facility doesn't even deserve a star! They are a joke! I have been going to this doctor for years. When you get sick, they DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS! I have been sick for 21 days and all can give me is a telephone appointment to send me medicine which is clearly no working for me. You can call everyday, first thing in the morning and they are booked for months. They advise you to go to urgent care. A doctor is suppose to care for you yearly and when you get sick! This facility does not honor that. Do me a favor, find yourself a doctor that truly cares about you and your needs!

I came to UNC Family Practice for the first time this week. Everyone was extremely nice and kind to me. It's been a while since I've had a normal primary care doctor. But, I can definitely see UNC Family Practice becoming my new primary care doctor. The nurse, Megan, and Dr. Higgins were both so sweet and listened to what I had to say. That is something that I really do appreciate, and it's been a while since I've been able to find someone who would just really listen to my concerns. I am very glad that I have come across this practice for my healthcare needs. Thank you!

Front desk staff, HEATHER, not helpful at all and very snarky. Calling as a sick patient and asked to have my appointment moved forward because my symptoms are so terrible and the urgent care told me they could not prescribe me the medicine I need. She said appointments are 2 weeks out I asked her so what should I do if I’m having bad symptoms just wait? And she replied with yes or to go see another doctor. I asked her to cancel my appointment I have set up with them because I was so upset, no apology, she snapped back with yes. I then asked for her name and her manager’s name. She put me on hold for a while then came back and said she sent the manager, ASHLEY, an email and I will have to wait for a call back. They should have someone other than HEATHER working at the front desk of a doctors office. Someone a little more helpful or just empathetic.

Extremely unhappy with this doctor's office. They are one of the only offices I can find in the area who will take TriCare so I am stuck with them. Waited on hold 45+ minutes 2 different times this morning to try and make an appointment. Then was told that because I haven't been seen as a new patient yet (when I called 2 weeks ago the earliest they had was Nov 2) that I can't be seen as a sick patient AND they couldn't do a referral for me to see an urgent care doctor. If I could rate 0 stars, I would.
