Went there with my 2 year old after she fell on a water slide at the Napoleon Pool and needed her chin glued. By the time we arrived she was not crying and calmly in my arms. I attempted to sign her into urgent care, they asked her age and why we were there. The woman instantly told me I had to go to the ER because they could not restrain her. In the ER the physician even asked why we didn't go to the urgent care because of how calm she was, and then did a little laugh when I said why. When he came to glue her chin she was sitting in my lap and tilted her head back willingly. Then the glue was applied he used two q-tips to squeeze either side, she winced a little, but again, completely calm. (Side note, the glue did not close the wound properly and was off in 2 days which we had inquired a urgent care bill after that.) So, now we are stuck paying over $1000 for the ER visit and the Dr's. fees. All because the urgent care did not want to treat a child.

Additionally: Our medical benefits are through Medi-share Christian Health sharing network. They processes bills through the First Health Network... The hospital is listed as a First Health Network "provider" (the reason we went) however HCH does not work with Medi-share as it is not "Insurance." This is a detail I share with others so they do not make the same mistake as we did. It would have been VERY helpful to learn from the individuals taking our card and processing us through as though all were normal.

Staff, NP, Xray tech: were all super. were warm and caring to my 13 year old daughter.
The billing department (Sherry) has been very helpful, clear, and calm explaining our situation.

Here we sit, not in the waiting room, no in our car. With a sick kid that wants to be at home because he is sick. We have been here over an hour now. Should of went to Fulton County urgent care. 😫

I gave 2 stars because when I walked in I was seen right away didn’t have to wait which was nice. The provider there was super nice. Now for the reason it’s getting 2 stars…. I had to get a steroid shot in my arm and the nurse who was giving it to me went too high up on my arm. She was damn near the top of my shoulder rather than the upper arm where you normally give shots. I understand that those shots hurt I have had them before but this was the worst pain I have ever felt with this shot and the pain shot all the way up to the side of my neck to under my ear. Never ever have I had that happen before. My arm went numb I couldn’t move it and the pain from my neck area made me light headed and dizzy. I even told her that she went up too high for it. Then she went out to the hallway and started talking about it and how she ALWAYS gives shots there and no one has ever complained about it. Well this time someone did because it was up far too high on my arm when it’s almost on the top of my shoulder…

I was in and out with my child with a double ear infection in 20 minutes. Great friendly staff. Got the script to RA before it closed. I use them often and will continue to do so!

Do not go to this urgent care if you do not have insurance. I unfortunately did not at the time. They charge over 300 dollars for a typical flu/cold medical visit. They refused to tell me charges for anything at the time of visit. Sent a bill month and a half later. Have heard similar stories of people being charged high for minimal services. Also make sure they take your insurance if you do have it or you could see quite the surprise bill.

Took my son in there to be checked. They told me I would get a call with his lab results before they closed at 5. Never received a call. Called the hospital to ask how I could get the results and was told that they would call me the next day. This, in my opinion, is unacceptable.
