There are many unique items in this museum from the local area and pioneer culture. This is a free admission museum. There is a small gift shop with a variety of items, and many are handcrafted. When you purchase from our gift shop, you are helping us keep the museum operational. We also have some public events throughout the year. The next one is on Pioneer Day, July 24th. We have lots of free hands-on family fun pioneer activities outside of the museum (185 S 500 W) right after the Vernal Pioneer Day parade. Donations and volunteers are always welcome and appreciated.

Amazing history pieces. LaRae our tour guide had wonderful personal history stories. The treasure hunt kept the kids intrigued the whole time. Highly recommended.

A large collection of items of daily use from the late 1800s to early 1900s. They had old clothing, old typewriters, old farm equipment, old pictures are people from the area now long forgotten and unknown to visitors. If you are into looking at antiques this is the place for you.

This museum had lots of stuff, but it wasn't explained for the most part other than documenting who had donated it and in what year. It had several dresses from long ago, but they were in unlighted cabinets, so you couldn't really see them. The writing about them was too small to read. If you know a lot about antiques and know what all these things are, you'd probably enjoy it.

An absolute lovely museum with so much history to be learned. The gift shop is darling with candies, toys, and even books to learn more at home. The ladies there are so sweet. Truly a wonderful way to spend some time.

This museum is one filled with the stories and relics of our past. It is filled with items as simple as a kettle, as useful as a plow, and as unique as a sugar cane mill. Pianos, cradles, tools, dishes, typewriters and traps. A scavenger hunt provides a fun and exiting way to explore the building and to include kids. As well as a miniature diorama depicting times past. I highly recommend it.

The museum is a great place to visit with your family and friends. It will take you back you back in time where you can almost meet the early settler's who came to Utah and helped transform a hostile environment into the inviting and hospitable place we enjoy the today.
