Beautiful place for a hike. Mostly flat, some rocky spots but overall an easy enjoyable hike. Only went to Bull Run Creek, did not pass through the creek as water was high after recent rain.

This trail is easy,clean, and beautiful scenery the entire way.The trail is very well kept. It was nice to not see graffiti everywhere or beer cans and trash. I picked up a bit of fishing string by the river but nothing compared to other places I've been. We will definitely be back again! If you're coming from Porterville or surrounding areas, the way we went was like if you're going towards Hot Springs. The scenic way you can call it. It was relaxing 😌 and so nice. Google maps had suggested we go through hwy 65 then eventually we would turn onto the 155 I think? But we decided to take the alternate route, which I'm glad we did!

UPDATE September 2023:
Water is still flowing thru Bull Run Creek and the rock bridge across the creek has been repaired. Still very green and lovely along the trail and near the creek. See recent pics below #7-15. Have fun 😊

Fairly easy in and out. There is a steep rocky descent about halfway to Bull Run Creek, but mostly meandering path. Rock bridge across the creek is currently blown out from all the rain. Also water level is high and swift so no crossing at this time. Good parking area. No facilities. Bring drinking water.

Very cool trail. I can only speak of the section that goes to Bull Run Creek. Beautiful scenery, nice easy trail. Can be a little hard to stay on at times. Maybe not, maybe it was just me to lose it on my way back to trail head.

Was a little hot Aug7-9 .
Got buzzed by 2 military jets going up canyon to fast for pics .
Couple hawks flew by.
Found the Kern River was better than the hot day.

A relaxed trail for those who don't want a challenging walk with the chance of predators. We saw lots of nice birds and lizards on our walk there on a spring day

Lots of fun! Easy hike. 2 places were a little challenging. A hiking stick was helpful.
