A relatively small museum packed with history. Reasonable price for such a lesson on Audie Murphy and the area.
Various displays showing things of historical value and life in a time gone by.
A video about A.M. and the area explains his journey through life.
I will return when passing through the area.
A required stop, young and old, for some excellent history lessons.

It's not all about WW2 Hero Audie Leon Murphy here, and that's fine; though Greenville, TX., was his childhood home, I expected better from folks who wish to honor the name and memory of an American Hero! First, the roadway and entryway to the museum and grounds are in a complete state of disrepair. That's bad! Second, while there is plenty to look at outside and green space, a large metal building like a giant red barn at its center will not suffice for me! And it shouldn't be for the family and descendants of Audie Murphy or any of the cotton farming families and histories of that era behind this museum and grounds. Clean it up! Renovate. Covid-19 is over! It's time to dig out from the aftermath. And move on with life.

Lots of focus on local history and Audie Murphy's life story. Military sections immersive. Some small arms and heavy machine guns. Oddly, no MG 42. Seats and some audio and video features here.

Interesting and informative place to visit! This museum combines area history with a great exhibit about cotton production, and Audie Murphy's story including lots of military memorabilia. We just visited their main building, but there are also several others on the grounds as well as outdoor exhibits. Small gift shop and welcoming staff.

What a great experience to visit the Audie Murphy, American cotton Museum in March 2024. The lady was very kind. She told me I want to find him where in the museum and walking through. It was a wonderful experience. I learned so much and about great Texans From Hunt county, famous Americans who did great things it’s always nice to learn more about fellow Texans. And the American Holler heroes is just an incredible site and I would highly encourage anyone interested in World War II or American military to make a trip out there and spend some time looking at the collection of military rifles and everything else military , of course this is Audie Murphy’s museum and his personal items there. He won’t see them anywhere else so make the trip and God bless Audie Murphy for what he did and we enjoy watching his movie still there’s that too. !
