Es un lindo lugar; el paseo en tren es agradable y el lugar está muy bien cuidado. Los precios de entradas son accesibles, solo que los tours no son bilingües, únicamente es en inglés. Si no hablas inglés te recomiendo llevar alguien que te explique porque vale 100% la pena conocer la historia de este lugar. Si volvería.

Read reviews before I went and here’s what I thought. Looooved it! Everyone is right, it’s best to sit on the left. Loved the tunnel part. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Loved the coal mine town adventure. Most of the original structures are gone, but they have little set ups with things to read and real life interviews of people that once lived there that you can listen to. It looked like they had a concession stand, but we brought our own food and didn’t need to eat more, so I can’t comment on that. I do recommend bringing your own food and drinks. Highly recommend this if you’re in the area. Also did the free tour of the museum and the woman working there was very knowledgeable and nice. Cool if you like the history of a town, which I do.

Very nice place. When we got our tickets they were ready to board the train. We had to wait a bit for everybody to get on.
The ride was around 45 mins to the mining camp. It was interesting but I was rather disappointed. I had the impression we were going to the mine not just the camp. I didn't even see a mine anywhere.
The scenery was pretty. We passed an old town & a farm. We went through a short tunnel & by the creek.
We did get a discount for being seniors so that was nice.
There were also some other buildings at the depot plus a gift shop & cafe but by the time we got back everything was closing.
The trip back to the depot is not as long because they don't travel as slow coming back.
I didn't get many good pics of the ride. It's hard to make them on the train without standing up.

We had so much fun!! This is the best place to ride a train. Their lunch is delicious. The area is beautiful!!!!!

What a fun experience! Will definitely be going back to visit again. The Depot and Whistle Stop Cafe are both authentic and lovely. Blue Heron was gorgeous and educational. We had a blast visiting and walking the trails. Can't wait to donit again.

We went on a Sunday and it was very underwhelming. The train ride was alright but not very scenic. I suggest sitting on the left side if you want to see anything. The train goes backward on the return. The mine isn't very impressive as you don't have time for the hikes and there isn't really anything to see. There are a few train cars but the bridges is closed. I did have a nice nap on the ride back.

We went on a polar express ride and it was wonderful. The staff was amazing, in character the whole time, and super friendly. The hot chocolate was perfect and that cookie was so yummy. Santa Claus did an amazing job. Our son can’t stop talking about his polar express ride. We were very pleased and we plan to be back!

Our family of 5 had a wonderful experience on 12/7/24 at the Polar Express event. I was a little concerned with a quiet start as we exited the station, but it quickly picked up and didn't stop until our return.

Santa made sure to visit every single child and give plenty of individual attention. There was plenty of time for a quick story and multiple poses for pictures.

For this Mom, the young ladies in our car really made our trip the best. DJ, Jasmine, and Olivia (I hope the spelling is right) went above and beyond for my kiddos and everyone in their car. They quickly picked up on this Mom and Dad pretending not to see The Hobo from Polar Express who interacted with every single child and really made our kiddos believers. The ladies were also especially attentive to my struggle bus as I was ahhing the big kids, handling hot chocolate, and wrestling a 1yo.

We had a great first experience and look forward to returning next year.
