What a neat place! The staff were so very helpful. You can ask them anything about the home and they know it all. They really know everything you could want to know about the house. We loved the information and interesting facts offered. You can even see pictures of what the house looked like before renovations. It was so interesting to learn all about the family members and the town when the house was built. They also had interesting fun facts for kiddos to find, too, with a seek and find available! We highly recommend checking it out if you can. Go see it today!

I am a professional wedding photographer & I recently shot a wedding at the Conrad Caldwell house and it was BEYOND BEAUTIFUL! Every artistic aspect is worth capturing! The couple got ready inside of the mansion, had the ceremony in St. James court in front of the historic fountain, and then finished with couple photos around the mansion. The owners were kind, courteous & very easy to work with! In my opinion, the Conrad-Caldwell house is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in all of Louisville!

What a gem! My girlfriend and I enjoyed the spacious guided home tour both in the wealth of historical information shared and interior design amazement. No AAA discount and the highest admission we’ve found from our home tours ($20 per person), but definitely worth it overall. We didn’t care for the large tour group size which made some rooms too small for all attendees. To be honest this home feels MASSIVE on the inside (much bigger than the outside suggests) so it made for a longer tour, which everyone in the group warmly welcomed! The woodwork is very impressive; I found the 3D parquet floor border design in the elite parlor mind-blowing. The third floor billiards room was impressive as was the main staircase. The families themselves were an interesting mix. The home did change occupants after 1947 which contributed to a few alterations in the floor plan, but it is mostly original.

If interested try the Howard Home Museum in Jeffersonville and the Culbertson Home Museum in New Albany 🙂🙏

My husband and I went on the Haunting Lamplit Tour. This event includes actors who tell you about the history of the Conrad-Caldwell House, including the deaths and Victorian practices associated with death and dying over the years. Overall, it was an engaging and educational experience. I wish we had been in Louisville longer and could have come back to the house during the day to explore all of the exhibits. Regardless of if you go on the Haunting tour or visit during the day for the typical experience, you won't regret this experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour, especially the opportunity to learn about the history of the home and family from some of the family members themselves. We'd love to return at Christmas to see it decorated for the holidays.
