I came in to speak to an advisor with the last name Wilson yesterday and the experience as a whole was very dismissive as if I was there to waste his time. He kept emphasizing the fact that my walk in appointment to get a hold off of my account should have been a scheduled appointment. Which I was unaware of if it was that much of an issue thats something that obviously should have been stated beforehand. The school as a whole isn’t on the same page apparently you need to take chemistry before taking Anatomy and physiology, which Iv never heard of from my previous advisor and no other student at GSU has heard that being the case as well.

I'm a little bit more than peeved on having to write this review. However, between getting transcripts uploaded, registering for classes, and getting financial aid approved. You can't get registered for class because your past transcripts STILL!!! have not been uploaded into the system, you're blocked from registering for part 2 in spring of the class you're currently taking in the fall, and definitely your financial aid won't be released because of the mayhem that is going on between admissions, the registrar and the advisors. Then, by time they get it untwisted, if you still have any brain cells left divided between learning and following up with the registrar, admissions and the advisors, if you have any luck at all - most if not all of the classes that you were available to take are FULL. It is absolute hell and a complete sh--t-show trying to get those people do anything in a timely manner and in a way that makes sense. Oh. Let's not forget that all of the classes are given at the same time - so good luck being a working person and taking more than one class per semester :-\

I have had the best experience at this school. I chose to continue my studies here as well. I am a Biology major at GSU, I had been here when it was Georgia perimeter college before they merged. I have grown with the school. I meet some great professors whom also helped me get through. Between being a new mom and student my teachers where always willing to help. The classes are amazing of course some teaching methods were easy to understand but tutors are always on hand/helpful. They are patient and as long as your willing to see your education through you should be set. I comment much on the school rates. When I entered was receiving financial aid.

Older and dated campus but structurally sound and well kept and clean. Would recommend this campus to attend college.

Advisors are the least bit of help, they do not show up to their appointments when you schedule them through navigate (the recommended way to schedule appointments) - they are vague with their answers to questions and offer little help.

Just called over to the financial aid office where I was on hold for over 15 minutes after a horrible experience with the automated messaging system and a representative picked up the phone, coughed, then hung up.

Never in a million years would I ever return to this school especially for Nursing . They have a good NCLEX pass rate but that’s because they weed students out along the way . All they care about is if you can pass the NCLEX when you graduate and that’s IF you graduate. The teachers there are very judgemental and gossip with each other about other students . They are not helpful and don’t care if you fail . There will just be someone else to replace you along the way. Chose another college if you plan to go for nursing . I can’t begin to tell you the hell I went through as as well as many of my other classmates .

The Clarkston campus is my favourite among all GSU campuses including the downtown. It's always quite and cozy. You can spend great time studying in the library, it's clean and quite. The campus isn't big which makes commuting within not a big deal. Classrooms are excellent, clean and good chairs, tables..etc.
