I was drawn to visit here after reading the historical novel, Massacre At Fall Creek, which tells the tale of the massacre in 1824 of nine Native Americans by four white settlers. They were tried by a jury, and three were hanged. A marker denotes the execution spot (visitors must allow for the mistaken use of "hung" in place of hang). It is a peaceful and serene park. I hope to return and visit the Historic Museum, which at least for now has limited hours on Saturdays. A playground renovation is scheduled for completion soon. There are trails that I used in a limited fashion. Visit here and let your imagination take you back 200 years while you walk, picnic, spread a blanket and read a book, or just listen to nature.

Well-done small town museum. Always enjoy seeing what each community chooses to represent it.
Volunteers were very friendly and fun.

Great place to go. There's fishing. You can play in the river. Go for a hike. Enjoy nature. Take picnic. Feed the ducks. Feed the fish. fi crawdads. Take your lady friend out on a cheap day. Lol But it's overall a great place. Relaxing river. Waterfall is pretty nice to watch and listen to too. If your looking to take the family. It's free, it's fun, and most of all, it's creates memories of a lifetime with the ones you love. Come on down, the waters waiting.
