I had knee surgery at Northern Regional Hospital and I must say I was treated with the utmost care, kindness, and respect. Dr. Williamson is certainly a highly skilled surgeon. The entire staff was so kind and knowledgeable. All the nurses took excellent care of me. They were all very kind and helpful but I must mention Tess. She was my night nurse and she was special; helped me so much. I highly recommend Northern Regional Hospital for your health care needs.

I want to say... I have suffered for over a year going to ER off and on in severe pain misdiagnosed and now issue has been found I had fixed on Thursday and had complications after surgery wasn't performed here but went back there for a CT on Monday as it needed to be a closer hospital that could communicate with Forsyth the CT came back that I had pancreitis I've been admitted to Forsyth. One Doctor made the whole visit horrible and she should listen to patients when you can't eat and you have results you don't tell someone they are gonna treat you for constipation when that isn't the issue and you don't treat people the way she did over meds you have to take to move. I will have this taken care of once better and I do have all the paper work to show another misdiagnosed visit by her when I already had the CT scan in my hand and her not even knowing I had one done. When your there and hurting so bad and so sick you don't treat someone like she did only makes it worse. I'm still in hospital but my next time we will just drive straight to winston or Radford never again. One employee can bring a business a bad name when you are treating not only your patients this way bit other employees as well that isn't good

I have used their emergency room twice, they were great. Dr.Vroom was a hoot. Had a knee replacement in 2019 & they treated me like a Queen. Everyone was nice & helpful. I try & have all testing (CT/Mammo/etc) done locally to support our hospital.

The night shift at this hospital is absolutely deplorable. They treated my friend terribly and had very bad bed side manner. Male staff member did not listen when asked to not rip up my friends covers leaving her completely exposed. Doctor was rude and dismissive. DO NOT GO HERE

This was my third visit to this hospital. Each visit was for kidney stones. The first one, I was able to pass on my own. However I came in Monday with a kidney stone that I had been fighting for 13 days. But it simply would not pass. I checked into the hospital around 11am in the ER. They ran an ultrasound and discovered the fluid was backing up into my kidneys. They quickly made the decision that I would need surgery to put a stent in. Around 5 o’clock that evening they moved me to a room on the surgical floor and began the processes to get me prepared.
I had surgery the next morning at 7 AM. My surgeon, Dr.Lee went over everything with me including the risks of surgery, what he was going to be doing, what that process would look like, and answered all of my questions. He called my mom after surgery to let her know that everything went well and explained to her everything what they did. He was able to break up the stone and get it out and place a stent in. The operating room team put my mind at ease as I was so scared. This was only my 2nd surgery ever.

I can’t speak enough to how thankful I am for the doctors, nurses, CNA’s and other staff who helped me through this very painful time. Thank you to Evelyn who listened to me ramble while the pain meds made me feel a little loopy. Thank you to Jammie, my CNA who listened to me cry hysterically after I came back from surgery. She helped me get dressed, helped me go to the bathroom and so much more. I don’t remember all of my other nurses names but I am so thankful for them.

They made sure my pain was managed well, they brought me snacks and meals and water and even my daily medication’s so that I did not miss those.

It can be very scary to have surgery when your parents are so far, but I always felt completely safe. Thank you to everyone!

Your hard work and passion for what you do doesn’t go unnoticed. ❤️❤️

I was treated at the ER Sunday night. My blood pressure was 178/120. The doctor was the kindest human being. Everyone was fantastic, no complaints about my treatment. BUT I got no phone call with any results of tests that were not ready when I left. My daughter asked me did I set up a patient portal, which I didn't even think of to be honest. So I tried to do that without success because I needed a password. It took me 2 days to get that. The lady who called was super nice, just overworked because she is the only one evidently who can set those up. I found out I have a UTI, but no medicine was ever called in for it. My doctor is out of the country right now, but fortunately 4 days after the visit, I have antibiotics. Still I have no idea why my BP was so high, as I've never been diagnosed with issues. Wonderful people, but don't expect a call or prescriptions

Brought my BF there late sat nite (I think), from the moment they wheeled him in they were fabulous!! We found out more in 2 hours than in 2 days in another hospital. When they gave a time for a procedure they were on time..... even on time with discharge!! It's about 10 mins further than Roanoke.... but I'll happily drive the extra few mins! Big thank u to their ER dept and Dr Milton... Dr Orli was fantastic... I can't say enough good things about the nursing staff on 2nd floor! Everyone in there was great!!

My son recently had a minor surgery under anesthesia. Everyone was very kind and caring. My son is essentially non-verbal and has sensory issues, but that didn't change how they treated him. From the nurses in pre-op, to the anesthesiologist, to PACU staff, they were all amazing!
